Realized by the athletes participants in the European Youth Olympic Festival 2005, the paints represents how the Olympic Truce is a concrete tool for peace and the opening of dialogues among peoples.
The union of the five Olympic rings with five children, represents symbolically the five continents: an intercultural vision in which different identities join in a unique embrace of peace, creating an “harmony in diversity” through sport.

That is why an event like the EYOF could be something more than a mere sport competition, promoting, together with young people, peace, Human Rights, Sustainable Development through the Olympic Truce.
